Privacy Policy for Game & Duo

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Game & Duo ("the App"), developed by Titans of Industry in Belgium, handles information when you use our iOS application. Game & Duo plays the 1980s LCD handhelds you own, from the ROM sets and simulator files you import, on iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo.

Your Games and Files

The ROM sets, simulator files and artwork you import stay on your device, in the App's own folder, which you can see in the Files app. So do your high scores, saved games and settings. The App never uploads them, and we don't run any servers that could hold them. Game & Duo includes no games and downloads none. It doesn't ask for an account, your name, your email address or your location.

Usage Data

While Share Usage Data is on, which it is until you turn it off, the App sends a little information about how it's used, so we can see which handhelds are played and what to improve: - The App being installed, updated, opened or closed. - A game starting: which handheld it is (a simulator the App doesn't recognize is sent as "other"), whether it's a ROM set, a simulator or the built-in game, and whether it's played on a picture of the original unit. - An import: how many ROM sets, artwork files and simulators came in, and how many failed. Never the names or contents of your files. With each of these go a random identifier the App makes when it's installed, a session identifier, and technical details such as the app version, device model, iOS version, screen size, language, time zone, whether you're on Wi-Fi or a mobile network, and on iPhone Duo whether it's folded. The identifier isn't linked to your name, email address or Apple Account, and the App doesn't use Apple's advertising identifier.

Who Handles Usage Data

Usage data goes to PostHog, the analytics service we use, which stores it for us on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). PostHog doesn't keep the IP address the data comes from, but uses it once to estimate a rough location, such as your country and city. See PostHog's Privacy Policy. We use usage data only to understand how the App is used and to improve it. It isn't used for advertising, isn't sold, and isn't combined with data from other companies. The App doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Turning It Off

Turn off Share Usage Data in the App's Settings, under Privacy, and the App sends nothing more. Deleting the App deletes its random identifier; installed again, it makes a new one.

How Long We Keep It

Usage data is deleted after one year.

Your Rights

We process usage data because we have a legitimate interest in improving the App. You can object at any time by turning off Share Usage Data. Usage data isn't linked to who you are, so we can't tell which of it came from you, and can't look it up, hand it over or delete it on request. If you have a question or a complaint, contact us below. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be) or the one where you live.

Children's Privacy

Game & Duo doesn't ask anyone, children included, for personal information. Usage data is the same for everyone and can be turned off as described above.

Apple

Downloads, ratings and reviews, and the crash reports you choose to share with app developers go through Apple, under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above.
